Yes. Tangier is a Moroccan port city on the Strait of Gibraltar where Andalusian, Moroccan and international cultures meet in one walkable coastal city. It is the easiest Moroccan city to reach from Europe — a 1-hour ferry from Tarifa in Spain, or direct flights from London, Paris, Madrid and Brussels — and combines a medieval medina and Kasbah, Atlantic and Mediterranean beaches, and excellent seafood.
Two to three days covers the Kasbah, the medina, Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules. Add a fourth day for a Chefchaouen day trip and a fifth for the beaches at Achakar or Cap Malabata.
Tangier is one of the safest cities in Morocco for visitors. Violent crime against tourists is very rare. The realistic risks are pushy unofficial guides around the port and Grand Socco, and petty pickpocketing in crowded medina alleys. Use registered taxis or a pre-booked private driver, agree taxi fares before getting in, and use licensed guides.
Ibn Battouta Airport (TNG) is about 15 km from central Tangier, roughly a 20-minute drive. Official airport taxis at the rank typically cost 150–250 MAD depending on time and negotiation. There is no train or tram from the airport.

No. Online bookings on mytangier.com take a small deposit (typically 20–30% — for example 150 MAD on a 450 MAD airport transfer, or 299 MAD on the 999 MAD scuba experience). The balance is paid locally on the day, in cash or by card with the provider.
Yes. Chefchaouen, the blue city, is about 2 hours south of Tangier by road. Day trips leave in the morning, include hotel pickup and transport, and give around 4 hours of free time in the blue medina before returning the same evening.
April to June and September to October are best: warm, dry and less crowded than July and August. Summer highs reach 28–30°C with busy beaches. Winters are mild at 14–18°C but wetter, and the Strait can be windy year-round.
Two routes: Tarifa to Tangier Ville (about 1 hour, foot passengers and cars, drops you in the city centre) and Algeciras to Tangier Med (about 1.5 hours, the main freight and car route, 45 km east of the city). Tangier Ville is the better choice for a short trip; Tangier Med needs onward transport into town.

The Moroccan dirham (MAD). Cards are accepted in hotels, larger restaurants and supermarkets, but cash is needed for taxis, medina shops, cafés and tips. ATMs are widely available; bureaux de change on Boulevard Pasteur usually beat airport rates.
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and French are everyday languages, Spanish is widely understood because of the city's history and proximity to Spain, and English is common in tourism and hospitality.
