We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
In short: we collect only what we need to book your trip, keep it secure, never sell it, and share it only with the local supplier delivering your experience. You can ask to see or delete your data at any time.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly or that is needed to provide our service. This includes your name, email, phone number, WhatsApp number, travel dates, group size, pickup/drop-off addresses, and payment details when you make a booking. If you sign up to our newsletter we store your email address. When you submit a question, partner inquiry or scam report we keep the details you provide so we can respond.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site, to remember your language preference, and to measure the performance of our advertising. Google Analytics and Google Ads tags help us see which pages are popular and where bookings come from. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share the details needed to deliver your booking with the relevant local supplier, driver, boat skipper or guide — for example your name, phone number, pickup location and activity details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases, and secure payment processing. Our backend is hosted on Lovable Cloud with Row Level Security enabled, so your data is only accessible to you and to authorised administrators who need it to fulfil your booking.
How long we keep your data
We keep booking records for as long as necessary to provide the service, handle disputes, and meet legal and tax obligations — typically up to 7 years for financial records. Newsletter emails and inactive enquiry records are removed periodically. You can ask us to delete your data sooner by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data. You can unsubscribe from newsletters instantly using the link in every email. To exercise any other right, or to ask what data we hold about you, message us on WhatsApp or email hello@mytangier.com.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
